Welcome - Valorizing Rural Woman
During last 2 years our partnership has analyzed the situation of women in rural areas of Spain, Portugal, Malta, Italy and Romania.

The woman that participated at our meetings have brought their own experience of life in different rural context in which they live and work. Their experience has provided important insights to the group about the differences in rural development of the various partner countries.

The experiences of the life and work of the participants have strengthened awareness of the role of women in the rural economy.

Women have a central role in the development of the business and  of the family units.

If, on the one hand, the work and family activities often are in the same place, facilitating the organization of the time it is also true that work in rural areas often requires more strength and energy that in the city because the work is really hard and physical. It is also true that many of the rural traditions survive thanks to the rural women and the knowledge are handed down from mother to daughter.

Rural women being born and raised in contact with nature have a strong sensitivity to the conservation of natural resources. Their activities are often sustainable and their role in the dissemination of respect for environment is fundamental.

The meeting of women who have successfully implemented within the rural world, by creating business and work with other women triggered in the latter a process of growth and awareness of their ability.

Women who perform activities in rural areas, feel they do what they really like. Sit performed personally and professionally. This achievement is very important for self-esteem.

A woman with a high self-esteem, perform her job better and the results are better.

The activity in rural areas is closely linked to nature an dinner calm is easier to feelless stress.

The project involved more than 90 women from 5 countries. During the visits each of them has had the opportunity to tell their own experience and share it with other women. This has created many personal relationships that will continue after  the end of the Project building a network enter the women involved.

The study visits showed a lot of best practices in every country and helped in the creation of this network.
